Marge Wegren-Debre

Marge has been involved in the operations and management of small businesses throughout her entire career. Her various positions have taken her through experiences in a broad number of industries. She
is experienced in the Microsoft Office software, and has worked with many different accounting programs. She is a Sage Certified Trainer
for Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting), and has been a Sage 50 (formerly Simply Accounting) Certified Consultant for many years, achieving the ‘Platinum’ status in 2010 – currently the highest level available to certified consultants.
Marge also extends her knowledge and talent through instruction in adult education. She authors the manuals that the NAIT Computer Training Centre uses for their Bookkeeping and Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) training courses & has developed a course for starting your own Bookkeeping business. Her passion for education has resulted in her position as Lead Instructor for her teaching team and curriculum development for both of these subjects at NAIT, and her materials have been used in other environments at a national level.
These combined experiences have provided her with an in-depth understanding of ‘what it takes’ to successfully operate a business. She is adept at applying her skills and knowledge to benefit company growth and efficiency. She has a keen ability to “troubleshoot” and streamline business operations, working with companies to assist
them through change related to their needs.
Marge has been involved with various volunteer endeavours over the years, including the RCMP Victim Services. She has served on the national Simply Accounting Partner Advisory Committee, as well as Co-Chair of their Education Sub-Committee. She is a lifetime Honorary Member of the IPBC (Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada), currently serving on their national Board, and is Chairperson of their Accreditation & Compliance Committee. In this position, she has been involved in revising their national certification exam and implementing new Policies.
Marge is the company’s “communication central”, facilitating the information flow throughout all aspects of its operations. Her ability
to assess situations, recommend possible solutions and provide training make her services a great reason to call P51.
