Dave Debre
IT Team Leader

Dave has worked in the computer electronics field as a Service Technician for over 20 years. Prior to P51, Dave was a partner and primary consultant with a company who provided hardware and software support in the Edmonton area. His initial focus was DOS and Novell network integration.

Originally working with large computer companies, his focus migrated to Microsoft products and certifications resulting in a move towards his passion for Network and Cloud integration, This allowed him to prepare courses and give presentations on implementation and applications within the network arena.

In 1994, Dave combined all of his skills to become a private consultant within his own company – P51 Computing Strategies. His areas of IT expertise include:  the Windows Operating Systems (including Microsoft 365 integration), Linux, Virtualization/Cloud, Network Design, Network Administration, Network Security and Internet integration.

Certifications Dave has obtained include Microsoft MCSE 2000, Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and is a formally trained Instructor. This, along with exceptional interpersonal skills, makes him a great ‘computer guy’ to have in your corner.

Currently, much of Dave’s time is spent setting up, streamlining and troubleshooting customer IT environments, including implementation of Cloud solutions. Dave keeps his existing knowledge honed by providing instruction in a full range of subjects including:  Networking, Internet Security, Windows (Infrastructure & Technical Support) as well as Virtualization. He spent many years as an integral part of the NAIT Information Technology instructional team.

Dave is a native of Edmonton and in his spare time enjoys sailing, digital photography, reading, music, and a fine cup of espresso!
